This week, the students from Pasedena went to a local culinary school where they worked in small teams to chop, mash, fry, boil and stir fresh ingredients to create their own three-course Italian meal from scratch. Of course, at the end of all this hard work, they were able to sit down and enjoy the fruits of their labor. The first course was a delicious eggplant caprese followed by potato gnocchi, each individually handmade by the students, with a meat sauce and to finish it all of nicely, a “salame dolce” – a kind of chocolate biscuit roll.
