Having absorbed Verona and heard the truth behind Juliet and her Romeo, it was time to head to Venice. It had been a long day already, so everyone took the opportunity to have a snooze on the coach.
Saturday dawned bright and clear, so it was time to get to grips with the Vaporetti (Water Buses). The city looked magnificent as we docked near Piazza San Marco.
The Gondolas were always there, tempting everyone...
Considering it was February, you couldn't ask for a better day.
The night before was a high tide in Piazza San Marco. A couple of inches covered the Piazza around midnight but had gone by Morning, apart from the odd puddle here and there...
From Piazza San Marco it was onto the Rialto Bridge as part of the tour.
